About the Presenters

Dr. Kevin Knutson

Kevin Knutson has been a licensed mental health counselor for the past 30 years. His experience spans public schools, adult and youth residential facilities, online counseling, wilderness programs, and private practice, specializing in trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and more.

Before his counseling career, Kevin served in the US Army in Germany and worked as a bank Branch Manager. He holds degrees in Corporate Communications (BA) and Educational Psychology (M.Ed.) from Brigham Young University, and a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Cumberlands.

Dr. Kristin Erskine brings 20 years of experience in clinical mental health and 14 years of teaching in higher education. She specializes in addictions, ethics, mindfulness, and spirituality in counseling.

Dr. Erskine currently provides limited private practice services, focusing on substance abuse assessments and Psychological First Aid. Her credentials include LCMHC, NCC, MAC, and SAP, making her a seasoned professional in mental health counseling and addiction.

3 CE Credits/Hours are approved for attending live online, and you must attend the entire workshop. No partial credit is approved. Requirements and instructions may vary depending on the accrediting bodies, professional organizations affiliated with your license, and each state's licensing board. We align our workshops with relevant guidelines and standards issued by approved professional associations. However, confirming that this program's content and CE hours offered meet the specific criteria set forth by your licensing board or organization is advisable.

Each state has different regulations for CE credits. It is crucial that you check with your state board to ensure credit will be applicable to your needs. The CE sponsors and program organizers are not to be held responsible in the event that your state board will not accept credit. We encourage you to take responsibility for your CE credit requirements. Check back frequently as new approvals of this program may be added leading up to the event.

All attendees will be required to check in and out at breaks, attend the workshop in full, and complete the course evaluation in order to earn CE credit and a certificate of completion at no extra charge.

If your association is not listed, Suncrest can provide a certificate of completion for this workshop. To be eligible, participants must have attended entirely each live workshop, and also completed the evaluation survey within seven days of the training. The certificate will be for the noted approved Continuing Education Hours for each course you attended and completed a survey for.

Refund and Cancelations Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to events@suncrestcounseling.com and will be honored as follows:
Suncrest is happy to offer refunds to registrants of both live and live-online trainings who cancel their registration no less than 10 days in advance of the course or workshop start date, minus an administrative processing fee of $75. If canceled within 10 days before the event, refunds will not be issued. In some cases, a credit for the same amount can be applied toward another future learning event – credit expires within 1 year.

In the rare case that an event needs to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, we will make every effort to notify attendees with as much advance notice as possible. Attendees will be given the opportunity to attend the event on the new date or transfer tuition to another event.

We don’t provide refunds due to:
Attendee technology problems: It is the responsibility of the webinar attendee to test their computer setup prior to the start of the webinar. If a technical failure at your home or workplace prevents access to the live webinar, you are not eligible for a refund. If the technical problem is due to our error, we will consider issuing a refund. Where video recordings are possible – access to the recording of the program will be available for up to 60 days. Only live attendance is eligible for CE credits and a certificate of completion.

Attendee email issues: Refunds will not be issued in cases where an attendee did not receive the webinar login instruction email due to issues like restricted emails, bounced emails, or any other system issues. It is the attendee’s responsibility to contact us if they don’t receive the required login information at least 24 hours prior to the start time of the webinar

No shows: Registrants who do not attend or participate in the live seminar in-person or online will not be entitled to a refund. For events that are recorded the video will be available a few days following the event and for up to 60 days. Only live attendance is eligible for CE credits.
