Feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, fatigue, irritability, aches and pains, and difficulty concentrating or making decisions are all associated with depression. Continuing to stay engaged in life is difficult when one has the added challenge of sleep problems or appetite loss. Most people suffering from depression no longer find happiness in activities that were once enjoyable, and they have a persistent feeling of sadness or emptiness. Suncrest Counseling seeks to help depressed clients find a safe place to receive care and nurturing. A comprehensive assessment including a safety plan will be provided. An outline of your treatment including goals unique to your specific circumstances will keep everyone on the same page. Day Treatment provides the opportunity to receive support throughout the day from various individual therapists, participate in Group Therapy, work out at the gym and have lunch. Treatment often includes various Mindfulness skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tools, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy skills. If appropriate, the combined use of medications and Neurofeedback may be implemented.
